The Toyota ProAce Knight Rider project: a digital pixel LED scanner effect replicating the iconic red scanner from the classic TV series, running standalone from a REACTIVO controller.
Creating the Knight Rider Effect in LED Strip Studio #
- Map the vehicle’s LED strip layout in LED Strip Studio software
- Create a “sweeping pixel” animation with the correct speed and colour
- Export to SD card
- Insert SD card into REACTIVO — done
With modern WS2812B or SK6812 strips, the colour fidelity and brightness far exceed anything possible in 1982.
