Project Overview #
TV JOJ is one of Slovakia’s leading commercial television broadcasters. Their news studio needed a modern upgrade to keep up with evolving broadcast aesthetics. LED Strip Studio designed and delivered a complete pixel LED installation that elevates the on-screen appearance with dynamic, fully controllable RGBW animated backgrounds.
The Challenge #
TV studios demand precision. Every LED strip must align perfectly with camera angles, brightness must remain consistent across takes, and the system must operate reliably 24/7. The existing static lighting provided no flexibility for colour changes between shows.
The client required:
- Seamless animated backgrounds matching branding guidelines
- Zero visible hot-spots or uneven brightness
- Art-Net integration with existing broadcast infrastructure
- Simple operator control without specialist knowledge
The Solution #
We designed a multi-zone addressable LED pixel system using high-density RGBW digital strips mounted behind diffused aluminium profiles to eliminate visible LED dots. The entire installation is driven by LEC3 units connected over Ethernet, receiving Art-Net data from LED Strip Studio software.

The broadcast team can switch between pre-programmed scenes instantly — breaking news red alert, standard news blue, morning show warm tones — with a single click from the control room.
